Michael is a singer/songwriter, musician and artist, born in Baltimore, MD in the late 60's. His grandfather, also Michael Raucheisen,
was a German pianist responsible for discovering and supporting some of the greatest opera singers of the twentieth century including Marion
Anderson and Elizabeth Schwarzkopf. Being the grandson of this famous accompanist, Michael has always been surrounded by travel, music and art.
He began to express himself artistically at a very early age without formal training. His artistic influences such as Peter Max, James Rizzi,
Jackson Pollock, Andy Warhol, Picasso, Monet and Van Gogh have all inspired his creativity and shine through in his work.
He has been writing music, and sporadically painting since he can remember, and can be seen performing under various pseudonyms. Recently his song
"In Love with a Friend" was part of the latest Deep Dish album (George is On) that received 2 Grammy nominations in 2006.
His art, like his music can be simplistic, a bit primitive and childlike, but always full of spirit, and from the heart, much like a simple
melody and lyrics! His paintings emit color, emotion, and feeling which he hopes art lovers (like he) can appreciate.
In November 2006, he began painting flowers partly to celebrate the ceremony of his recent marriage, and mostly to express his gratitude
for the blessings of good friends and family.
Today his paintings can be seen in private and corporate collections around the world.
"Art & music should be a feeling and sincere from its creator, it should fill every home, to both express and enhance life in a completely
intangible way as only the inner spirit can truly interpret."
